What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a simple, painless learning technique that involves teaching your brain waves to become more functional and effective.
How does Neurofeedback work?
Neurofeedback therapy is preceded by a quantative Electroencephalogram (qEEG), an objective assessment of brain activity, alongside an assesment of psychological status. During a neurofeedback session, sensors are placed on the scalp and then connected to computer software that detect, amplify, and record specific brain activity. Resulting information is fed back to the trainee virtually instantaneously with the conceptual understanding that changes in the feedback signal indicate whether or not the trainee's brain activity is within a healthy range. Based on this feedback and practitioner guidance, changes in brain patterns occur and are associated with positive changes in physical, emotional, and cognitive states.
Neurofeedback can be used to improve cognitive problems related to Brain Injury, Learning Disabilities, Mood Disorders, Cognitive Disorders, Peak Performance and Brain Brightening.
Is Neurofeedback right for me?
Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, painless, and drug-free option for regulating dysfuction in the brain. It can be beneficial for those that do not feel at their best.
