What is a qEEG?
A qEEG, or quantitative electroencephalagram, involves painlessly recording brain waves from the surface of your scalp and mapping the "signatures" at locations on your head. These can help detect brain waves that correspond to dysfunctional or unbalanced brain activity. We "map" each person individually before beginning any Neurofeedback therapy.
How does a qEEG work?
Neuroscience research has demonstrated conclusively that conditions like depression, anxiety, attention-deficit disorder and memory loss have "brain signatures" that can be seen with Brain Mapping procedures. This allows us to create a personalized treatment plan for you, to see the most improvement possible.
Who is a qEEG for?
Any client who is interested in doing neurofeedback therapy will receive a qEEG so that a personalized treatment plan can be made. However! Anyone who is interested in knowing more about their brain can undergo the simple procedure. For many it is a validating process, to find the source of what they struggle with and to track the progress of improvement.
