Christine Palmquist Marshall Ed.D. Counseling Psychology, LMFT, BCN Fellow

Dr. Christine Palmquist Marshall is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is internationally board certified and an associate fellow in Neurofeedback.  She is also a Certified Academic Language Therapist (Dyslexia) and a trained in quantitative EEG and Biofeedback. She is the director of San Diego Psychotherapy Services and San Diego Neurofeedback and Biofeedback. Dr. Palmquist specializes in qEEG-guided treatment in increasing brain normalization and cognitive functioning. This includes executive functioning, memory, attention, mood, etc. of adults and children who have been affected by concussions and other brain injuries, learning disabilities (including ADD/ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s, Dyslexia, Auditory Processing Disorder), Downs Syndrome, and the processes of aging including problems associated with Dementia/Neurocognitive Disorder. As a Brain-Brightening expert, she is a noted speaker on memory enhancement in the middle-aged and senior population where her neurotherapy study yielded a 97% increase in immediate memory in the double-blind experimental group (Brain Brightening with Audio-Visual Entrainment for Memory Enhancement in the Middle-Aged and Senior Population, 2014, ProQuest). She is a former Gifted and Talented teacher, where a portion of her students also had ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dysgraphia. She holds two masters degrees: M.Ed. with Learning Therapy Certification and M.A. Psychology as well as  and Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology.  Additional training includes trauma EMDR, hypnosis under Dr. Michael Yapko, and rational emotive behavior therapy (cognitive behavior therapy) at the Albert Ellis Institute, New York. In addition, she is a certified Level 2, Level 3 pending (coursework completed) in TEAM CBT, the revolutionary cognitive behavior therapy developed by Dr. David Burns, psychiatrist and author of The Feeling Good Handbook and many other books.  She has been practicing in the field of psychology since 2008.
